Jewel in the Palace.. aka Da Chang Jin
Finally finished watching the 70 episodes of the korean show. I must confess initially, i do not have good impressions of korean shows. Cos in my opinion, they are slow and draggy. *no offence to fans of korean shows* I begin watching this VCD because i just finished my exam at that time and needed something to kill time.

After watching, i find myself liking this drama, though it is quite sexist. It is not as draggy as other Korean shows, there were a few climaxes which i quite enjoy watching. And i find it quite meaningful. However i still do fast forwarded some parts until the subtitles reappear.. haha..

Fav roles :

Chang Jin (CJ) -
I really admire her fighting spirit and her passion for learning. Furthermore, she is so kind hearted.. i wonder if such a person really exist.

Adopted parents -
They are quite comical. Though the wife is money-minded and very mean at times, she still show her concern for CJ

Sir Min -
He may not be those handsome type, but i find him quite charming.. with the small eyes. He is always there for CJ, standing up for her. How i wish i have a bf like him.

Actually still got many more, just that i dunno wanna bore my readers.hee..

There are a few fav scenes i wanna share.
1) The part where CJ's mum died in the cave and CJ was feeding her the wild berries she plucked. *so sad and touching*

2) All the cooking scenes.. think i prefer them to the part where CJ started to become a female doctor. Haha.. begin to like korean food after looking at those yummy dishes being presented to the royal family.

3) Madam Cui being interrogated because of her evil doings. I must say she acted very well.. i like her acting but not her role.

Lesson learnt:
Ppl with evil thoughts and actions will get their retribution one day. It is only a matter of when it will come.

Also, do not let wealth and power get the better of you!! They are important but there are other things which are more important than that.* my dreams_ 11:14 PM
