First week in the office..

Had our first week of training at the office. A lot of admin stuff to be done. Collected employment pass, namecards and laptops. Sad to say, the laptops are old and bulky. Arghh.. i dun wanna imagine myself carrying it to work everyday. It can be very torturing. =(

Training was okay. Quite enjoy the company of my group and lunch khakis. They are all pretty ladies and are easy to talk to.. On tues we actually had a grooming session conducted by "First Impressions". They taught us abt some 'do and don'ts' about dressing, body language and the way we speak to ppl. Quite interesting to hear those image consultants talk.

At the end of the session, they told us there is actually a one-to-one make-up consulation with the pro. Initial price was $150, but the corporate price they offered us is $48. Most of us thought that it was quite worth it so we signed up for it. Went to see the pro on thurs with HS, she told us that we are the first one from our group. The session was okay. She told us some of the things to look out for regarding skincare. Then she taught us the way to apply the foundation, eyeshadow, concealer and lipstick. Think it is quite predictable that she will ask us to buy the things that we tried on our face. So i ended up buying foundation and concealer for $162 and HS spent $260. She bought their eyeshadows which i din cos i find the colours very weird on me.

As for the following 3 days, we had to do a case study. We had to prepare those sections in the audit file and it has to be reviewed by a manager. It is just like we are in a real situation. They arranged ppl to be the seniors, clients and manager. Think they really put a lot of effort in preparing the training materials.
